Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is an effective treatment for many types of mental, emotional and behavioral health issues. Individual therapy can also help people who are facing difficult life situations, or would like to develop healthier, more functional personal habits.

Group Therapy
Group therapy helps individuals develop communication and socialization skills, and allows clients to learn how to express their issues and accept criticism from others. It allows individuals to develop self-awareness by listening to others with similar issues.
Areas of Specialization
Mood Disorders
A mood disorder is a mental health problem that primarily affects a person’s emotional state. It is a disorder in which a person experiences long periods of extreme happiness, extreme sadness, or both. Two of the most common mood disorders are depression and bipolar disorder.
Self Esteem
Self-esteem is an individual’s subjective evaluation of their own worth. Self-esteem encompasses beliefs about oneself as well as emotional states, such as triumph, despair, pride, and shame. Self-esteem is a big contributor to well-being. It can prevent people from finding fulfilling relationships or following their dreams.
Trauma / PTSD / C-PTSD
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that may occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, a serious accident, a terrorist act, war/combat, or rape or who have been threatened with death, sexual violence or serious injury. Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD), is a devastating condition that can affect people who have lived through long-term trauma, such as months or years of abuse. Trauma, PTSD, and C-PTSP Counselling seek to explore emotional and physical reactions to traumatic events, and find ways of helping to process what has happened, and cope with any reactions that one may be having, so that the trauma moves from being a current problem, to a memory.
Attachment Disruptions
Developing healthy emotional relationships is a key factor in attaining happiness and improving quality of life. However, many people lack the ability to connect with other individuals and form and maintain meaningful relationships. Attachment issues typically develop in childhood when a child is unable to have a consistent emotional connection with a parent or primary caregiver.
Women's Issues
Women’s issues can refer to any concern that might impact a woman’s mental health. These concerns might be related to gender stereotyping or assumptions and concerns related to women’s health, but they are also likely to include other challenges faced by women that have nothing to do with gender. Women may experience certain biological, environmental, and psychosocial challenges related to gender, and these concerns can have a significant impact on mental health and well-being.
LGBTQ+ Issues
Despite rapidly growing cultural acceptance of diverse sexual and romantic orientations and gender identifications, oppression, discrimination, and marginalization of LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning, intersex, and asexual) individuals persists. Although a person’s sexual or romantic orientation or gender identity may not be a source of distress, LGBTQ+ individuals may find that the social stigma of living as a minority is a source of stress or anxiety.
